Drowning by Rachel Firasek Blog Tour

"I dare you."

Those words would change adrenaline junkie, Alice Harrison's life forever. She's a party girl that doesn't believe in love until she meets a man that only writes about it.

Seth James escaped his overbearing father and moved into one of the James family's vacant condos, hoping to create the music he loves in peace. But the fragile calm he's envisioned shatters when a tiny woman with a world full of energy bounces out of the elevator and nearly takes him out.

With the patience of a saint, Seth seeks the dark that keeps Alice from enjoying life. He challenges her to exorcise the demons in her past in order to discover the true meaning of love. But when the walls fall down, the hidden deceptions will bare the ugly truth about a woman drowning in sorrow and a man who may not know how to be her hero.

There is a lot going on in this story to keep up with. Two sets of siblings meet and bond over their "shitty" lives. The band that is forming is trying to get off the ground, crooked politicians, hidden talents and some VERY disturbing shit that happens with Alice's dad that fucking makes me crazy! (I will let you read that on your own)

Alice is a very broken. It has been a while since I read about some as broken as she is, in fact. But, she puts on a very good show (literally and figuratively). If I had to go through the shit she went through, I would be bat shit crazy all the time and not just some of the time. Seth is a strong compliment to her (even though they think they are a train-wreck waiting to happen) and Im glad that they came together. He felt he had a shitty life and he didnt really know what a shitty life was until he met Alice; she made him realize what he really did have. She joked with him that he was just a spoiled brat and that may be true to some points. Seth did have tragedy in his life but his dad and brother did, as well, and as a bunch of guys, they just didn't know how to handle it together.

I can tell you that I hope that there is more in the series because I really want to know how everyone ends up; this story has a lot of characters and if this turns into a several book series about them, I would be a very happy girl. This is one of those books that you can not put down, you have to know what happens next. I was given an ARC of this book in place of my honest review (and Im glad I was given the offer because this was an amazing book) Im gonna give this 5 stars and a MUST READ status!!
